Video: Speaker from Uganda on election interference there in 2016 1 min 28 sec

On the 4th of November, Donald Trump put into place his plans to stop/steal the election with the first of many "stop the count" lawsuits. Michigan was his first target. On the same day, protesters showed up at Republican Party headquarters and many other places participating in Trump's efforts to seize ongoing power. The day culminated in a Count Every Vote rally at McPherson Sq and dancing into the night at BLM Plaza.

On the 3ed of November, shortly before both sides tried to declare victory in the Presidential election a "Fuck the President" march took to the streets from BLM Plaza. This march picked up a sizable crowd from the go-go truck's exit march-and proceeded to march all the way to MPD's 4D police station for Karon Hylton.

On the evening of Nov 3, protesters opposing Trump's expected attempt to stop the vote count and steal the election gathered. There was trouble in less than an hour as cops forced back the crowd on BLM Plaza, threatening to tow the go-go stage truck. The truck was moved to McPherson Square, so soon two places filled with protesters.

On the 2nd of November, a small number of protesters faced off against "Jesus freaks" on BLM Plaza. Nearby, crews raced to install a high fence around the White House and buildings all over downtown were still furiously boarding up. This as reports of National Guard mobilizations circulated and the Washington Post called out Park Police for using facial recognition software against at least one George Floyd protester.

On the 1st of November, MPD finally realized that police aggression against protests for Karon Hylton was just bringing people back to 4D night after night. Bike cops stayed out of sight while riot cops hid in the darkened and apparently mostly shut-down police station.

On the first of November, ShutDown DC set up chairs, a table, and a tent on Black Lives Matter Plaza for a public meeting and spokescouncil. Within minutes, MPD cops starting hassling them about DCRA, vending regulation, and Mayor Bowser's proclaimation used during the summer to harass Black Lives Matter activists on BLM Plaza.

The 1st of November was an international day of solidarity with Rojava the YPG and the YPJ. Here in DC, a protest rally was held in front of the Turkish Ambassador's residence in Sheridan Circle. This was the site of the infamous May 2017 international incident where Erdogan's security guards beat and kicked Kurdish protesters during Erdogan's visit to Trump.

On the 31st of October, Karon Hylton protesters were at MPD's 4D station from before 8PM until about midnight. At one point, police claim protesters threw eggs at the station. In response, bike cops kettled the entire protest, and Lt Bagshaw pointed out 8 people including Karon Hylton's father for arrest.

On the 31st of October, apparent white nationalists marched a "thin blue line" flag through BLM Plaza, causing an urgent call for defenders to mobilize and prevent the signs from being torn off the H st fence a second time. One person has scissors but was prevented from vandalizing the signs. The reported presence in the right-wing group of a "Kekistan" (Pepe the Frog) flag identifies them as white nationalists.

The 28th of October saw a second night of protest and heavy direct action at MPD's 4D headquarters for Karon Hylton. As riot cops blocked night culminated in a massive fireworks blast against the building. An attempt to kettle the crowd failed, cops ended up just pushing everyone south on Ga Ave.

With a week to go until the official 2020 election day (excluding mail/early voting), many building owners and businesses are already boarding up as though in expectation of a great storm. The storm in question is expected protests over a disputed election, and fears these could erupt into rioting or street battles.

On Oct 26, Trump's SCOTUS nominee Amy Coney Barrett was sworn in after a highly irregular confirmation hearing. Anti-abortion, pro-theocracy supporters of her stripped signs from the fence at BLM Plaza as part of their celebration of her installation to the US Supreme Court. One Twitter poster said simply "it's ON!"

On the evening of October 26, GOP Senators rammed through the final confirmation vote to install Amy Coney Barrett on the Supreme Court 52-48, a party line vote. As they did so, women's rights activists protested while supporters of Christian theocratic fundamentalism celebrated.

On the 25th of October, the U$ $enate prepared for an all-night session to pave the way for a final vote to ram Trump's nomination of Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court. As they did so, a single protester chained herself to the Supreme Court, saying NO to this misogynistic and homophobic excuse for a "justice."
