Trump/Putin protests demanding impeachment grow, develop "pitchforks and torches" atmosphere

On the 16th of July, Donald Trump and Vladimar Putin held a joint press conference in Brussels, both denying charges that Russia interfered in the 2016 election to hand the White House to Trump. Beginning on the 16th of June, a largely new crop of protesters under the name Occup yLafayette Park was outside the White House, calling Trump a traitor for his dealings with Putin and demanding his impeachment. By the third night, growing crowds managed to create a "pitchforks and torches" atmosphere even using only candles.

Migrants, supporters march in Columbia Heights after ICE raids on apartments

On the 12th of July, ICE agents raided the Sarbin Towers apartments on 16th st, arresting nine people both residents and passers by. Other raids also occurred that week, as ICE assaulted this supposed sanctuary city. In response, a very large crowd marched from a the park at 14th and Kenyon and blocked 16th st in several locations, including at the site of the Sarbin Towers raid.

On the 13th of July, the DC Bike Party held a very large ride on the 6th anniversary of their first ride. Normally the rides are on the second Wed of the month, but this special ride was on a Friday.

Trump senior adviser Jared Kushner gets protest at home vs "peace by eviction" plan for Palestine

On the 12th of July, Trump son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner received a protest at his house by activists demanding the right of return for Palestinian refugees. Kushner is promoting a "peace plan" without Palestinian input to transfer most Palestinian lands to 3ed party nations and expect peace in return for these wholesale evictions.

Mass Mobilization Against The Alt-Right in Washington DC, August 10-12

Skirmishes break out at Supreme Court after Trump nominates Brett Kavanaugh

On the 9th of July, Donald Trump nominated Brett M. Kavanaugh to be the next new Supreme Court "justice." A large number of protesters gathered at the Supreme Court after his nomination was announced. As right-wingers sought to disrupt a large progressive protest they were surrounded and drowned out by an angry crowd.

J20 prosecutions end in defeat as government files motion to dismiss all remaining cases

The 6th of July, 2018 will forever be known to some as "V-J20 day," the day prosecutors threw in the towel and filed a motion to dismiss all remaining charges stemming from Trump's Inauguration without prejudice. Defeated by two juries and judicial sanctions for willfully hiding exculpatory evidences, prosecutors have finally given up and Disrupt J20 has won.

Occupy ICE Philly blockades ICE for 4 days before violent eviction

On the 2nd of July, Occupy ICE Philadelphia blockaded the ICE office in Philadelphia near Chinatown. This was in solidarity with a vigil at the Berks County detention center where families are beng held. A police assault on the camp the next day gained access to the parking garage but failed to dislodge the camp. On the 5th of July, bike cops violently evicted the camp and destroyed personal belongings
